Benefits and Activities

During the Winter and Spring Quarters, you will:

  • Participate in interdisciplinary discussions in general sessions and in a small group
  • Explore themes such as self-management, discovering your main strengths, connecting with your purpose, how to motivate and inspire others, cultivating inclusive environments in teams, the concept of mission on a team, and how to give and receive effective feedback
  • Study major theories, thinkers and frameworks of leadership, followership and teamwork

Recognition and Commitment

  • Overall, Fellows dedicate around 6 hours per month to attending general sessions and small team meetings
  • On successful completion of the program, participants are designated as a Center for Leadership Fellow, receive a $1,000 stipend, and are offered additional opportunities during their time at Northwestern to contribute to the work of the Center

Eligibility and How to Apply

The Fellowship is open to full-time PhD candidates not beyond their 5th year within TGS, J.D. candidates, MD candidates, and postdocs. To be eligible, students and postdocs must complete our Leadership Coaching program prior to beginning the Fellowship.
